After killing two people at a nearby auto parts store, 40-year-old Clem ‘Clemmie’ Henderson entered Moses Montefiore Academy, where he shot and killed the school custodian. Henderson then shot and killed police officer Irma Ruiz and wounded her partner, Greg Jaglowski, as they confronted him. Despite being shot in both legs, Jaglowski managed to return fire, killing Henderson.
