Jerome Henderson, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was convicted of the attempted rape and murder of his 26 year old neighbor, Mary Acoff. Henderson broke into Mary’s apartment, attempted to rape her. He stabbed and beat her multiple times in the head, chest and neck and then slashed her throat at least 13 times. Her nude and mutilated body was discovered by her 10 year old daughter. Henderson was sentenced to death on August 5, 1985. His execution date is September 14, 2023.
