At first glance it would appear that the friendship that formed between these two seemingly social outcasts, Erik Harris and Dylan Klebold, was one that had been made in heaven. They complimented each other, but in a very deranged way. In truth they couldn’t have been more different.

On April 20, 1999, (Hitler’s birthday) the two boys planted a bomb in their high school cafeteria, that was to go off at 11:00 am. They then left the building. The idea was to shoot the students and faculty from opposite sides of the exits as they ran from the exploding building. But, when the bomb failed to ignite as planned, the boys entered the school and proceeded to open fire on anyone and everyone in sight.
As their fellow students scrabbled in a disorganized frenzy of utter panic, confusion and fear, the deadly duo laughed out tauntingly and with disturbing delight.
